The official position
Rockstar lists two platforms for GTA 6: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That is it. Rockstar has not announced a PC version, so there is no PC price, no PC pre-order and no PC date.
Take-Two, Rockstar's parent company, has been asked about PC many times. In a Bloomberg interview in May 2026, CEO Strauss Zelnick said the company is focusing on console players first, its "core" audience for this launch. On earnings calls he has also said that the PC market keeps growing and that Take-Two's biggest games usually reach more platforms over time, while stressing that GTA 6 has only been announced for consoles.
In other words: a PC version is likely one day, but nothing about it is official.
What history suggests
Rockstar has brought its big games to PC later before:
- GTA 5 launched on PS3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013. The PC version followed in April 2015, about a year and a half later.
- Red Dead Redemption 2 launched on consoles in October 2018 and reached PC in November 2019, about a year later.
If GTA 6 follows a similar pattern, a PC version would arrive some time after the console launch, possibly a year or more. That is an estimate based on the past, not a date.
System requirements: none exist yet
You will see "GTA 6 PC system requirements" tables online. None of them are official. Rockstar has not announced a PC version, so it has not published minimum or recommended specs. Any list you see is a guess based on other games.
If you are thinking about a new PC for GTA 6, wait for Rockstar's own requirements. If you want to play on day one, a PS5 or an Xbox Series X|S is the only option.
What about older consoles?
GTA 6 is not coming to PS4 or Xbox One. Only the current generation is listed.
Quick answers
Is GTA 6 coming to PC? Not announced. Only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are listed.
When could a PC version come? Unknown. GTA 5 took about 18 months to reach PC, Red Dead Redemption 2 about a year.
Are there official PC specs? No. Rockstar hasn't published any.
Can I play on PS4 or Xbox One? No. GTA 6 needs a PS5 or an Xbox Series X|S.
Can I stream it to a PC? Remote play or cloud options depend on your console and service. Rockstar hasn't announced anything specific for GTA 6, so check your platform's own rules.
Should I wait for PC? If you only play on PC, you have no choice yet. If you own a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, there is no sign that waiting gets you anything extra.
Will my save carry over to PC later? Nothing is announced about cross-progress or save transfer.
What this means for you
- Want to play on November 19? You need a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S. Pre-load opens on November 10 and needs up to 212 GB.
- PC only? Expect a wait. Watch Rockstar's Newswire for a real announcement and ignore "leaked" PC dates.
- Specs lists: treat them as guesses until Rockstar publishes its own.
