Spotted vs named
Like earlier games, GTA 6 uses invented manufacturers that parody real ones, so you will see names like Grotti, Vapid, Dinka and Shitzu rather than real brands. Fan sites have catalogued a huge number of models from the trailers and the Extended Look. That is useful, but a car you can see in a trailer is not the same as a car whose name, edition and unlock Rockstar has confirmed.
This article only covers the second kind. Everything below comes from Rockstar's store pages and support articles.
Free with any pre-order: the '55 Vapid Stanier
Every purchase or pre-order of either edition made before November 20, 2026 includes the Vintage Vice City Pack. Its main item is a '55 Vapid Stanier, a 1950s-style sedan. You also get a personal garage, Shore Court Garage, near Ocean Beach in Vice City.
If you buy a boxed copy, the pack comes as a separate download code.
Ultimate Edition vehicles
The Ultimate Edition ($99.99 in the US) and the Ultimate Edition Upgrade add more vehicles. Rockstar lists:
- '95 Grotti Cheetah, a classic 90s sports car. Rockstar says it becomes available later in the story, so you will not drive it in the first hour.
- '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, a buggy version of Vapid's classic Dominator, plus a garage to keep it in.
- Dinka Enduro, a motorcycle.
- Shitzu Squalo, a speedboat.
- Crest Kayak. Leonida has a lot of water.
- Ganado Retro Build, a set of exclusive muscle and classic mods for Jason's worn, low-riding Vapid Ganado pickup.
- Jason's Safehouse Vehicles, which Rockstar names as a group without listing each model.
A custom shop you only get with Ultimate
Rideout Customs is a customisation shop for interiors, rims and "donk"-style builds, the tall wheels on classic American sedans. Rockstar says it only opens for business with the Ultimate Edition. Standard players will still have ways to modify cars, but this shop and its styles are part of the upgrade.
If you own the Standard Edition, you can buy the Ultimate Edition Upgrade at any time from the PlayStation or Microsoft store, including after launch.
How to read GTA 6 car lists online
Big lists with hundreds of cars are usually built from trailer frames and older games. They are a good guess at what you will see on the streets, but names, versions and unlocks can change. When a list says "confirmed", check whether it means Rockstar named the car or a fan spotted it.
What is not confirmed
- A full list of cars at launch. Rockstar has not published one.
- Prices, top speeds and handling stats. None of these are official.
- Where to find specific cars on the map. Nobody knows yet, and any guide claiming exact spawn spots before November 19 is guessing.
What this means for you
- Any edition: pre-order or buy before November 20 to get the '55 Stanier and Shore Court Garage.
- Want the Cheetah early? You can't. Even with Ultimate, it unlocks later in the story.
- Thinking about Ultimate for the cars? You get five named vehicles, a pickup build and an exclusive mod shop, and you can still upgrade later.
- Hunting for rare cars? Wait for real in-game finds after launch rather than pre-release lists.
From November 19, our player crew checks where cars actually appear and how to keep them. Our GTA 6 cars guide fills in as each one is confirmed.
