ViceGuide is an AI co-pilot for GTA VI, run by Quira Ltd (registration no. HE 497679), Apostolou Pavlou 16, 2nd floor, Office 201, 8046 Paphos, Cyprus ("we"), the controller of your personal data. This policy explains what we collect when you use vice.guide, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: support@vice.guide.
What we collect

We don't sell your data, and we don't use your chats to train AI models.
Legal bases (GDPR)
- Contract: your account, sign-in, chat and paid plans.
- Legal obligation: keeping payment and accounting records for as long as tax law requires.
- Legitimate interest: security, abuse prevention, limits, fixing errors, anonymous statistics.
- Consent: analytics and marketing cookies (Google Analytics, Google Ads, the
vg_attrsource cookie). In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland they are used only after you click "Accept all"; elsewhere they are on by default and "Essential only" turns them off. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the site.
AI processing
Your questions are sent to Anthropic's Claude models to generate answers. Answers may include information found on the public web. Anthropic processes this data on our behalf and doesn't use it to train its models.
When you speak to ViceGuide, the recording is sent to OpenAI to turn it into text, and in voice mode the answer text is sent to OpenAI to be read aloud. OpenAI processes this on our behalf, doesn't use it to train its models, and may keep it for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring. On some devices your browser's own speech features are used instead: then your phone or browser maker (for example Apple or Google) handles the audio under their own privacy terms.
Scouts
If you apply to become a scout, we keep what you send in the form (nickname, email, age, hours you can play, platform) plus your country from your connection, to review your application and contact you. We delete applications we don't take forward within 12 months.
If you work with us as a paid scout, the recordings, notes and screenshots you upload at /scout are used to write game facts for ViceGuide. Recordings are sent to Deepgram to turn them into text and are deleted from our storage right after; screenshots are deleted once facts are pulled from them, except ones you mark "For the site": once the fact they show is approved, we re-save them without any photo data (no EXIF, no location) and may show them in the app; the original is deleted. We keep the text, your sessions and your earnings to pay you and to check quality. Legal basis: our agreement with you.
Advertising networks
Some players reach us through advertising (affiliate) networks. If you arrive through such a link, we record the click: the network's own click ID, its campaign tags, your country, the page you landed on, the time and a one-way hash of your IP address. Cookies (vg_aff, vg_affk) remember our ID and the network's ID for that click for 30 days. If you then create an account or buy a plan, we tell the network that its click led to a sign-up or a purchase, so it can be paid. The network only receives its own click ID, our transaction ID, the type of event and the payout: never your email, your name, your IP address or your account ID. Clicks that never led to an account are deleted after 90 days. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in paying for the advertising that brought you here.

Where data leaves the EU, it's protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
How long we keep it
- Account, chats and ratings: until you delete your account.
- Usage records: 12 months.
- Homepage sign-up records: until you ask us to remove them.

Vercel Web Analytics doesn't use cookies. Google tags follow Google Consent Mode: without consent they send only cookieless signals and set no cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email support@vice.guide from the address on your account and we'll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Age
ViceGuide is for players aged 16 and over. If you're younger, please don't use it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date below and tell signed-in players.
